I have always loved and respected Mr. Sajjad Lone. Best thing about him is he is super genuine person and clean .. very positive. From over a decade time and again whenever and wherever I watched his interview I have always saw the positiveness in him rarely I knew those difficult past he had faced before this interview . Yet seeing him so positive and optimistic increased my respect for him more.
The stories of torture from the son of a political leader who was a prime figure in the mainstream for more than a decade. Imagine what a common Kashmir would have went through during the same time. Although this interview passes off in a good vibe but imagine the plight of a common man? With no power! No support! No political connections and he cant even say sahab mai toh London ka padha hu. That is why I keep saying, you need to personally be there to listen and understand these million stories to get an idea of why Kashmir is like Kashmir. Food for thought.

I saw Sajad interview with Smitha Prakash, She made him defensive with so many accusation of being separatist. This is on the brighter side very comfortable for him. He does acknowledge his past, yet his intentions to be in mainstream and contribute are clear. After listening to him, made me feel he has been through a lot because of his legacy. Rigging of 87 election was a big fault line in Kashmir's history. He seems to be a good leader with pure intention in the complex dynamics of Kashmir. I hope he flourishes, and stays true to peace for his homeland. I hope mainstream media should stop seeing them from the lens of separatist. Every state in India would like to get a special status, and consideration but in a good federal structure this tussle should always be there, some states would get and some would lose. The special status should always be temporary, limited and time bound, and it should not become a reason for separatism.
Kashmir was peaceful and there was no protest till 87. Special status was there for more than 35+ years without a wave seperatism. So its was not a result of it. Uttrakhand and himachal too have some of the similar privillages. Political interest and siachen take over flared the wave of seperatism internally and externally. Special status has nothing do with it. It became a problem when kashmiri politicians started using special status as tool for apeasement. It good that central goverment abolished it.

Great re-watch. I did not know that my sense of the non-serious soundtrack would be noticed by others. However, I assumed watching the previous video with the same video elements, that Samdish had inserted the Sounds to keep serious topics a bit more acceptable to the segment of people in our country who are still in the mode of 'Angrezo desh chorho' who did not understand shit then and they do not understand shit even now after so many generations. Anyways, this version was like the 'acoustic' version of Nirvana's 'The Man who sold the world' or any other acoustic version of any song.
